I thought I would make my first post about organizing a thesis. This will explain how I stay organized and therefore motivated to keep writing my thesis.

Disclaimer: having a well-organized thesis planner does not guarantee that you will finish your thesis, phd thesis planner. Sometimes, there are other reasons why a person decides not to finish it. Thesis writing can be a seriously daunting task. Keeping up your motivation to work and continue writing can be a challenge. Recently, I decided to dedicate one of my new Kikki-K Planners to just this purpose. This planner is only for planning my thesis writing.

The first section is my monthly calendar with important deadlines, upcoming meetings, and conferences. The next section is my weekly calendar. I use this to keep track of important dates also, but most importantly, my daily tasks are noted here. The only way to keep advancing your thesis is to give yourself small manageable tasks, nothing too general or unattainable.

Next are the To-Dos, where I make a list of the specific tasks and long-term goals I need to complete and deadlines, if necessary. Then comes a section of Meeting Notes. The next part is the Notes section. This forces me to summarize and paraphrase in place of copying text directly from the book, which saves massive time, phd thesis planner.

After the Notes is the Planning section.
